NoCo Center

One of the most recognizable buildings in Jacksonville was renamed Corner Lot Center on Friday as the name of a new signature tenant and Corner Lot’s logo were installed on the rooftop facing the Fuller Warren Bridge.

“We’ve been waiting for this moment since we purchased the property last summer. Seeing our name and logo overlooking the Jacksonville skyline during this moment in the City’s history is inspiring,” said Andy Allen, Corner Lot CEO. “From the Jaguars making the playoffs to the resurgence of development in downtown, the momentum in Jacksonville is undeniable and we’re humbled to be part of the equation.”

A mid-century modern building designed by Architect Taylor Hardwick in 1963, the structure was acquired by Corner Lot in June 2022. Shortly thereafter, Florida Law Firm Shutts & Bowen selected Corner Lot Center as the desired location for its first Jacksonville headquarters. Home to Riverside’s River and Post Restaurant and Rooftop Bar, the nine-story structure also boasts numerous other professional services tenants.

Established in 1910, Shutts & Bowen is a full-service business law firm with approximately 300 lawyers located in eight offices across Florida. In addition to its Jacksonville office, the firm also has offices in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Sarasota, Tallahassee, Tampa, and West Palm Beach. Anticipated to move into Corner Lot Center this month, Shutts & Bowen will occupy the entire seventh and eight floors for a total of 18,352 rentable-square-feet.

Approximately 90 percent of the 90,000 square-feet of rentable space in Corner Lot Center is currently leased. Corner Lot’s headquarters will remain at the Goodwin House and the adjacent River House on Goodwin Street in Riverside for the foreseeable future.
